The Lord is Our Refuge!
/Here we are welcoming the month of June! Each of us have stories to share of what we have experienced in these last couple of months. We have a number of similarities, but also some differences in what we saw, felt, heard and spoke.
Have you felt oppression during the quarantine? You may have started to go 'stir crazy' at home, maybe by yourself or just with family. You may have allowed media stories to occupy your time - impacting your mind and heart, your mental and emotional state. Restrictions put upon all of us that we were not used to living may have led to feelings of oppression.
Calling upon our sovereign Lord to help us through these tough and very real experiences and feelings will save us! The enemy wants us to wilt under oppression. He wants us to live stagnant, not able to move, to wallow in oppressed circumstances vs. taking steps of faith and following the Lord through the murkiness and out on solid ground. We can heal from his guidance, grace, mercy and love. Surrounding ourselves whether in person or virtual with strong and positive people will also be an element of the antidote!
“And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” Isaiah 58:10 NIV
