David's Plight - Our Own Individual Plights

David penned Psalm 27 in the midst of great distress and anguish as he was being attacked by his enemies.

Are you under attack by your enemies today? What are you actively doing to come out of the cave and claim victory?

The following verses come from David and Psalm 27. Take time to read each one. David knew he could not defeat his enemies by himself. And, neither can we!

Pray, meditate and claim victory through Jesus Christ who has the power to pour into you - strength, forgiveness, purity, courage - any stronghold that has come against you!

"The Lord is my light and my salvation—

whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life—

of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1 NIV

"For in the day of trouble

he will keep me safe in his dwelling;

he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent

and set me high upon a rock."

Psalm 27:5 NIV

"Wait for the Lord;

be strong and take heart

and wait for the Lord."

Psalm 27:14 NIV
