Goodness - A Nourishing Fruit of the Spirit

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light . (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness,righteousness and truth)" Ephesians 5:8-9 NIV

We know from reading God's word in the Bible - old and new testament readings, that there was good and bad in the world. Both still exist today. As the Holy Spirit enters into our lives when we proclaim Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, the good begins to push out the bad!

The meaning of GOODNESS is much like GODLINESS! Godliness is “being LIKE God” and Goodness is “being GOOD like God”

Goodness is a nourishment to our own soul! And, if you share goodness with others, it nourishes their soul too! Goodness begins to multiply across peoples' minds and hearts. It can propel into a movement! Goodness is poured into us as a fruit of the Holy Spirit. We receive God's goodness daily. When he wakes us up each day, when he gives to us his favor and blessings, and his almighty protection are daily outpouring of goodness into our lives! Bless God!
